Fantabulous Cricut Design Team Post - "Hey There Cupcake" Treat Box

This week at Fantabulous Cricut our theme is Fancy Trims! For my project, I created a cake-shaped treat box. This box is cut from the Cricut Sweet Tooth Treat Boxes cartridge at 10.5". All of the paper are from the Cricut Imagine Bubblegum Stripes cartridge.

You could fill this box with anything, of course, but I love that there is an option to cut a cupcake holder for the interior. What a cute gift or party favor this would make!

I lined the top edge of my treat box with ribbon and added a matching tag and bow on top of the box.

The tag is also cut from the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge at 2.5" and the sentiment is from K Andrew's Coffee and Tea Tag Along Sentiments Stamp Set.

The flowers were cut from the Paisley cartridge at 1.5", 1.75" and 2" respectively and embellished with buttons.

Finally, I added a second, matching bow on the back of the box as well.

Patches of Pink Design Team Post - "Sweet Thing" Treat Box

This week at Patches of Pink, our theme is Valentine's Day! I created this cute treat box for my husband's Valentine's Day gift and I had so much fun making it.

This treat box was cut from the Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge at 10.5".

I used two pieces of acetate that I saved from a Cricut cartridge casing to line the windows and they worked perfectly.

The tag is also cut from the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge at 2" and stamped with K Andrew's Coffee and Tea Treats Tag Along Stamp Set.

I threaded some twine through a large, gingham button, tied a bow and adhered it to the door to create a wreath. I also added a crystal gemstone to create a doorknob.

The door, the window boxes and the flowers are all popped up on foam for added dimension.

Finally, I used the Martha Stewart Monach Butterfly Punch to create some butterflies and accented them with Stickles.

And here is the treat box filled with my husband's current favorite snack, Shredded Wheat. He loved it!

Cards for Kids! - Valentine's Day Edition Wrap Up

A few, short weeks ago, I announced my Cards for Kids! - Valentine's Day Blog Hop. I asked ya'll to help me create and collect handmade Valentine's Day cards for sick children and the response I received was absolutely amazing!

In the end, we collected eighty seven, beautiful, handmade cards from over four countries!!

On Saturday morning, my husband and I photographed all the cards, bagged them up and took them to the Levine's Children's Hospital! I am so deeply proud and humbled that we could lift the spirits of these sick children and their families. It's such an amazing and wonderful feeling to know that your creativity and passion can affect someone else so directly.

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for participating in this card collection with me! It's been such an amazing and rewarding experience and your creativity, participation and support mean more to me than I could ever express! Thank you you all so much!!

Emily is a sweet little 6 year old girl that has battled Leukemia since before Chrstmas 2011. She has had to endure more pain in a few short months than most adults in their entire life. She has gone from Leukemia to Rotavirus, to pancreatitis, to kidney stones, then to shingles, not to mention over 300 pokes in her tiny little body! From chemo to blood draws to feeding tube. Her bone marrow is finally at 0.00% so she is now in remission and back at home! She is still going through 7 different chemotherapy treatments but is finally doing better! Now on to my card for Emily!

This card was cut from the Wild Card Cricut cartridge at 5.7" and the two layers were cut from the Imagine stock images at 4.2" and 4.4".

The cupcake and the cherry were both cut from the Home Decor cartridge at 3.2".

All of the patterns come from the Imagine Floral Emporium cartridge.

Finally, I added doodle stitching, small pink flowers and some crystal gemstones to accentuate the card.

I created a standard 5"x7" card using the Cricut Imagine Kate's Kitchen cartridge. The cupcakes and all layers were cut at 4".

The card is embellished with twine and a button and all cuts were inked and popped up on foam for added dimension.

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "With Love" 12x12 Double Layout

This week at Stuck on U Sketches our theme is "You've Got Mail."

This is a standard 12"x12" double layout featuring one 4"x6" photo mat and three 2"x3" photo mats.

The writing desk, chair, lamp and telephone were all cut from the Sentimentals cartridge at 3.8", 4.8", 2.5" and 1.5" respectively. The stand and birdcage were cut from the Serenade cartridge at 3.2".

The title was cut from the Elegant Cakes cartridge at 1.9"; the ink bottle and the writing quill were cut from the Sentimentals cartridge 5" and 4.5".

The butterflies were cut from the Sentimentals cartridge at 2" and 2.5".

3D Eiffel Tower with Crystals and Bows - Custom Order

I recently had a custom order for a modified version of my 3D Eiffel Tower to use as a cake topper.

This is the original 3D Eiffel Tower that I created...

...but the client requested a simpler design. I accented the entire tower with small crystals and light pink bows.

I also created a matching monogram to be placed in front of the tower.

The monogram is created out of thin chipboard and accented with matching crystals and bows.

Fantabulous Cricut Design Team Post - "Expresso Yourself" Notebook/Journal

This week at Fantabulous Cricut our theme is to use a heart shape on our projects. We also have a wonderful sponsor this week, K Andrew's Designs! I received the "Coffee and Tea Tag Along Sentiments" to use on my project.

As soon as I saw the "Expresso Youself" sentiment, I knew that I wanted to create a coffee shop themed notepad/journal. The notepad measure 8.5"x6.5".

The coffee shop was cut from the Pop Up Neighborhood cartridge at 5" and the scalloped heart was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge at 1.75".

The couple was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge at 3.75" and the sentiment tag was cut from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge at 2".

The sentiment frame on the inside cover is cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge at 1.75".

For the hop today, I've created a fun and girly Valentine's Day card!

This is a 5"x6.5" card; The scalloped overlay and heart-shaped overlay were both cut from the Cricut A Child's Year cartridge at 6.5" each.

The silhouette and the tag were also cut from the A Child's Year cartridge at 3.5" and 1.2" respectively.

I inked all of the edges, added some white faux-stitching and popped all of the cuts up on foam.

The sentiment comes from K. Andrew's It's Valentine's stamp set.

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "Snow Happy With You" Card

Today, at Stuck on U Sketches our theme is snowmen. As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to create a card using this sentiment.

This is a standard 5"x7" card. All of the cuts and papers came from the Cricut Imagine Snow Angel cartridge. The first snowman was cut at 4.3" and the second snowman was cut at 4.1".

I used the Fiskars Apron Lace border punch to create an accent border...

...and the sentiment is from the My Sentiments Exactly "Winter Sentiments" stamp set.

For my project, I created a 5"x7" card. Both envelopes were cut from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge at 3.9" and 3.5" respectively and the scalloped heart was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge at 2.5".

I created an accent piece using the Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch...

...and added a button accent.

The inside of the card is finished off with the same border punch and two small hearts.

Today, at Fantabulous Cricut our challenge them is to use any label shape (other than a plain circle) on a project.

This is a standard 5"x7" card. The owl is cut from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge and accented with flowers created from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge. The label shape is cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge.

The accent piece was created with the Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace border punch...

...and the stamp is from K Andrew's Positive Thoughts stamp set.

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "Winter Woodland" 12x12 Double Layout

This week at Stuck on U Sketches are theme is Winter Fun! Well, I've definitely been having fun with my Imagine and as soon as my Snow Angel cartridge arrived in the mail, I knew that I wanted to create a winter woodland layout. I just love the images on this cartridge; they're so quaint and idealic.

This is a standard 12"x12" double layout that features two 4"x6" photo mats and two 4"x4" photo mats. The background paper, the photo mats and all of the images were printed and cut from the Cricut Imagine Snow Angel cartridge.

I used the Martha Stewart snowflake border punch to create a accent border on both edges of my layout. I love the lacey edge that it creates and the extra pop of color that it adds to the layout.

I accented my photo mats with twine...

...and layered all of my cuts.

I love the dimension on this layout.

Hi, everyone! It's been a while since I've posted but I wanted to take a few days off to celebrate the New Year and my birthday. My husband had a huge surprise for me this year and gifted me the Cricut Imagine! I couldn't believe it! Of course, I had to play with it right away so I whipped up these place cards for my parents' Christmas party. I only had a few hours before the party to create these but I think they turned out pretty cute for my first Imagine project.

I used the Cricut Winter Frolic cartridge for the Christmas tree and filled in the layers with patterns from the Cricut Imagine More cartridge. The frame and background border piece are cut from the same cartridge. The frame was cut in layers, backed with cream cardstock and stamped with everyone's name. I added a bit of faux stitching on the Christmas tree and frame and popped both cuts up on foam for extra dimension.

This week at Stuck on U Sketches, our theme is lots of snowflakes! This is a standard size 4.25"x5.5" card; I used my Crop-o-Dile Corner Chomper to round the top corners. The white cardstock was embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes Embossing Folder for added texture.

The snowflake was cut from the Cricut Winter Lace cartridge at 3.25" and embellished with pearls.

The sentiment frame was cut to fit the stamp.

"Holiday Wreath" Card

This is a pretty simple card but it turned out to be on of my favorites that I created this holiday season. I started with a standard 4.25"x5.5" card, layered it with designer paper and used my Fiskars Apron Lace border punch to create an accent piece.

The wreath is cut from the Cricut Christmas cartridge at 3" and each of the layers were popped up on foam for added dimension. The bow is accented with a small, red gemstone.

The sentiment frame was cut to fit my stamp and I used my Crop-o-Dile Corner Chomper to round the edges.

Momenta Design Team Project - "Like Mittens in Winter" Card

Hi, everyone! I'm here with my final project for the Momenta Design Team. I've had such a wonderful time creating with this design team and I'm so grateful that I was able to work with such an amazing company!

For my project, I created a cute winter card that can be used for any occasion. Once again, I used the Momenta 12x12 All Through the Year Super Paper Pad; this is one of my favorite paper stacks...the papers are so pretty and so versatile.

This is a standard 4.25"x5.5" card. The mittens are cut from the Cricut Jolly Holidays cartridge at 2.75" and I used my Fiskars Threading Water border punch to create an accent border. The sentiment frame was created by cutting two strips of rectangular cardstock and using the Fiskars Elegance 4-in1 Embossing corner punch on all four corners.

All of my cuts were inked and popped up on foam for added dimension and the inside of the card is finished off with white cardstock and a strip of coordinating designer paper.

"Reindeer Family" Card

As soon as I saw the reindeer on the Cricut Christmas cartridge, I knew that I wanted to create a elegant holiday card. I began with a 4"x9.25" card and layered it with a 3.75"x9" piece of gold, metallic cardstock and a 3.5"x8.75" piece of white, snowflake designer paper. I used the Fiskars 4-in-1 Elegance Embossing Corner Punch to punch the top corners. I used the Martha Stewart Cherish Border Punch to create an accent piece and adhered it to the card as well.

Each reindeer was cut at 3.75" and embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder. The sentiment frame was cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge at 2.5". All the cuts were inked, popped up on foam and accented with twine and pearls.

The inside of the card was finished with gold, metallic paper and white cardstock.

"Enjoy the Holiday" Card

This is a simple but festive holiday card that I created. I began with a 4.25"x5.5" portrait style card and layered it with a 4"x5.25" piece of gold metallic cardstock. I added a 3.5"x5" piece of striped designer paper and a border strip cut from the Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge. Finally, I added a 2"x4.5" piece of gold metallic cardstock that I embossed with my Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder.

The tree and all of it's layers were cut from the Winter Frolic cartridge at 3.5".

I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock, adhered it to some designer paper and hand cut it into a banner shape. All of my cuts have been inked and popped up on foam for added dimension.

Fantabulous Cricut Design Team Post - "Virgin Mary" Home Decor Tag

Today at Fantabulous Cricut, our theme is Trimming with a Tag and the challenge is to use a tag somewhere on your project. This week, our challenge is sponsored by Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock. My entire project was created with the Core'dinations Vintage Collection.

For my project, I created a large, decorative tag to use as a home decor piece. I began by cutting a large tag shape from the Cricut Once Upon a Princess cartridge at 10.5"; first, I cut the tag out of light-weight chipboard and then I cut the same shape out of paper and adhered them together. The Virgin Mary was cut from the Inspired Heart cartridge at 8.5" and the smaller, sentiment tag is cut from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge at 2". All of my cuts were popped up foam in order to create dimension and then I heavily embellished the piece with pearls, ribbons and flowers.

I used the roughest edge of a nail file to distress the edges of my cuts and then lightly rubbed the file over the surface of my cuts to give them a rough, worn look.

I added a small border piece near the bottom of my tag; I used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch on the bottom edge of the accent piece and then embossed it with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. I used my nail file to distress the embossed texture, added some lace to the bottom of the accent piece and adhered the entire piece to my tag.

Momenta Design Team Project - "Let It Snow" 12x12 Double Layout

Hi, everyone! Today, for my Momenta design team, I have created a 12"x12" double layout featuring three 4"x6" photo mats. All of my papers came from the Momenta 12x12 All Through the Year Super Paper Pad; I love using bright, fun colors in my winter projects and these colors and patterns were perfect.

I used a my Fiskars Apron Lace border punch to create an accent piece and cut a background doily from the Cricut Lacy Labels cartridge at 10.5".

The snowman was cut from the Winter Frolic cartridge at 6" and the snowflakes were cut from the Winter Lace cartridge at 3", 3.25" and 4".

The title was also cut from the Winter Frolic cartridge at 5.5".

I embellished my cuts with small gemstones and popped them all up on foam for added dimension.

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "Bite Me" Card

This week's at Stuck on U Sketches our theme is Holiday Baking. I have more than a few grinches on my card list this year so I thought it would be fun to create a few snarky holiday cards.

This is a standard 4"x9.25" card. I kept the design fairly simple because I wanted to showcase my papers without overwhelming the simple gingerbread man cut. I used my Fiskars Threading Water border punch for added interest.

The little gingerbread man is cut from the Jolly Holidays cartridge at 3.75" and trimmed with white glitter paper and red rhinestones. Originally, I used my gypsy to hide the gingerbread man's face and used a stamp to give him a sad face but then I worried that he looked a little too sad. I hand altered the cut in order to make him look bitten. The font is cut from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge at .75".

The inside of the card is finished off with coordinating cardstock and designer paper.

Patches of Pink Design Team Project - Holiday Card Holder

Today, at Patches of Pink our theme is Christmas! For my project, I created a holiday card holder to display all of my holiday cards. I began with a 8"x13" piece of chipboard and created a fun Christmas scene. I punched two holes in the chipboard and added some twine in order to hang the card holder and hot glued three ribbons to the bottom in order to attach the cards. The cards are attached to the ribbon with clothespins.

All of the cuts on this card holder were cut from the Cricut Jolly Holidays cartridge. Santa's sleigh was cut at 4", the reindeer at 3.75", the house at 6.25", the phase at 2.5" and the trees at 5", 4" 2.5" and 2.25" respectively.

I popped most of my cuts up on foam and added several thicknesses of foam on some cuts to create a three dimensional effect.

"Reindeer Games" Holiday Card

Hi, everyone. Today, I am participating in My Pink Stamper's 12 Days of Christmas Challenge: Day 1. The challenge is to create a Christmas or Winter project from a Cricut cartridge that is not for the holidays.

I created a standard 6"x6" card and layered it with printed cardstock. Next, I used my Fiskars Apron Lace border punch to create an accent piece, layered it with printed cardstock and added some red polka dot ribbon.

The scalloped square is cut from the Accent Essentials cartridge at 4.25" and layered with printed cardstock.

My little reindeer was cut at 3.75" and embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. I added some googly eyes and a red gemstone for his nose. My husband kept asking me to make a card with Rudolph on it so I made this card especially for him.

Fantabulous Cricut Design Team Post - "Christmas Gift" Money Holder

This week at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog our theme is presents. For my project, I've created a cute Christmas themed gift card/money holder.

I started with a piece of 4.25"x11" red cardstock and scored it at 2.75" and 5.5" to create a different fold. I lined the outer flap and the inside of the card with green polka dot cardstock. The frame is cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge at 3.75".

I cut a second frame for the inside of the card out of white cardstock...

...and added a small pocket to hold a gift card or money. The pocket is cut from the Sweethearts cartridge at 2.75".

The gift box was cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge at 4" and embellished with a red button and some twine.

The gift box was popped up on foam for added dimension.

Momenta Design Team Project - "Cider Slider" Tutorial

Hi, everyone! For today's Momenta Design Team project, I have created a tutorial for a fun, holiday-themed cider slider. These sliders are quick and easy to make and they make great gifts and stocking stuffers. I used a package of cider in my slider but you can use hot cocoa, instant soup or candy bars.

I began with a piece of 5"x8.5" cardstock and scored it at 3.75" and 7.5". Fold the edges and punch two holes near the top.

Next, cut a piece of white cardstock at 4"x8" and punch the edges with a border punch. Secondly, cut a piece of 3.5"x8" designer paper from the Momenta All Through the Year 12"x12" Super Paper Pad.

Ink all the edges and adhere the layers.

Apply adhesive to the smaller tab and adhere the edges of the slider to create a pocket.

Insert a piece of ribbon through the two holes and slide the cider into the slider package. Tie a loose knot at the top. Once you pull on the knot, the cider will easily slide out of the package.

Now, it's time to decorate the slider!

I used a second piece of designer paper from the Momenta All Through the Year 12"x12" Super Paper Pad to create a paper rosette, layered it on top of a 2.5" scalloped circle cut from the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge and added a gemstone for a little extra sparkle. Finally, I completed the project with a small 1.5" gift tag cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge.

3D Pumpkin Place Cards

Thanksgiving is one of the biggest holidays in our family and this year was particularly special because all of my sisters and their families were able to gather at my parents' house to celebrate the holiday. It was the first time our whole family had been together in over four years.

I created these little 3D pumpkins to use as place cards. They were a little labor intensive...especially since I had to create nineteen of them...but I love the way they turned out and I think they were worth the effort.

I used eight 2" scalloped circles for each pumpkin, a 2" by .25" curly cue for the stem and a 2" leaf from the Mother's Day Bouquet Cricut cartridge for the name labels.

Hi, everyone. This week, Momenta has teamed up with Epiphany Crafts to feature a very cool new product! They have created an awesome product called the EC Shape Studio Scalloped Circle Punch and EC Shape Studio Bubble Caps that allow you to create your own custom bubble cap embellishments; I coordinated mine with the EC Star Felt Flowers but there are so many different possibilities for using these.

For my first project, I created a Thanksgiving-themed "Thinking of You" card. I created a standard 4.25"x5.5" card, layered it with a piece of designer paper from the Momenta All Through the Year 12x12 Super Paper Pad, created an accent piece with a border punch and another piece of designer paper and then added my sentiment and my awesome felt flower accent.

Look at all that beautiful dimension! The sentiment is from the Momenta Blossom Chipboard Words set and is popped up on foam.

Seriously. How cute is that little turkey?

For my second project, I created a Thanksgiving-themed 12"x12" single layout featuring two 4"x6" photo mats.

The designer paper for this project also comes from the Momenta All Through the Year paper pad...

...and I chose a sweet little leaf to adorn my felt flower.

I had so much fun with these products and can't wait to play with them again!

This is a standard 5"x7" card. The turkey was cut from the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge at 3.75" and the scalloped frame was cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge at 4.5". The sentiment was cut from the Inspired Heart cartridge at 1.75"

The inside of the card is lined with a piece of creme cardstock; the corners have been punched with a corner punch and the edges have been inked.

All of the edges have been inked and the cuts were popped up on foam for added dimension.

This week at the Patches of Pink Link-Up Party, our theme is Thanksgiving. I have created a standard 12"x12" double layout depicting the first Thanksgiving; this layout features two 4"x6" photo mats, one 4"x4" photo mat and a journaling spot.

The accent borders were created using the Fiskars Apron Lace border punch...

...and the journaling spot was cut from the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge.

Almost all of the cuts on this layout came from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.

The country side was cut from the Country Life cartridge.

The tree was cut from the Serenade cartridge 5.5"; I cut extra leaves in several different colors and layered them for a seasonal look. The barn was cut from the Country Life cartridge at 5".

The scarecrow was cut from the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge at 3.5" and the corn was cut from the Pop Up Neighborhood cartridge at 2.25".

Momenta Design Team Project - "Baby Steps" Pocket Page Mini Album

Hi, everyone! I'm here with another Momenta design team project. I created this cute, pocket page mini album for a sweet family expecting their first child. Fortunately, I knew the baby's name ahead of time so I was able to personalize the book.

Everything in this book is from the Momenta Baby Steps collection and I love how wonderfully everything coordinated! This mini album was so much fun to put together and I love the way it turned out.

This is a 5.5"x7.5" mini album with twelve pocket pages. It has twelve 5"x7" photo mats, twenty four 4"x6" photo mats and fourteen pockets for extra photos and mementos.

I used the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge to create the sentiment frame and the Robotz cartridge for the baby's name...

...and I added several chipboard stickers and the rhinestones from the collection.

I used a stamp on the inner pocket to create a birth announcement...

...and embellished each pages with chipboard stickers and titles.

And, of course, I created a card and a small gift tag to include with the mini album.

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "Haunted Mansion" Stair Step Card

Time for another Stuck on U Sketches die cut challenge! This week the theme is "fence." As you can see, I'm still really excited about Halloween so I created this spooky stair step card. As ya'll know, I love creating scene layouts and I really like the effect of creating one on a stair step card because of the instant dimension.

This is a standard A2 size card (4.25"x5.5") and all the cuts are from the Happy Haunting Cricut cartridge.

The tree was cut at 3.75", the fence was cut at 1.75" and the haunted mansion was cut at 6.75". I hand altered a few of the cuts, added some extra grass cuts and lightly inked everything in black ink. I stamped my sentiment onto cardstock and hand cut the cardstock for a custom fit.

Both the tree and the sentiment are popped up on foam for extra dimension.

Patches of Pink Design Team Post - Haunted House Shaped Mini Album

Time for another Patches of Pink Link Up Party! This week we are showcasing Halloween projects! I used the Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge to create my first shaped mini album. I used the shadow feature of the Haunted House and cut six pages for my book. Each page was cut at 7.5" so I was able to cut two pages out of one piece of 12"x12" chipboard. I punched two holes and bound the entire thing with two metal rings.

The designer paper and all the chipboard pieces are from the Target dollar spot.

Unfortunately, I'm having some technical difficulties with my video camera and have been unable to film the inside of my mini album but I promise I will do that as soon as my camera is fixed.

"Enter If You Dare" Halloween Door Hanger

This project has been linked to Fantabulous Cricut's Challenge #81 - Decor and More and My Pink Stamper's Pinkalicious Blog Hop.

This 3D Halloween door hanger was created using the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge. The sign, hat and boots were all cut from chipboard to make them a little sturdier and all of the cuts were popped up on several layers of foam for lots of dimension.

I embellished the boots with black lace and orange satin ribbon.

The hat has a small layer of lace underneath the brim as well.

Momenta Design Team Project - "Criss-Cross Shaped Cupcake Card"

Hi, everyone! Faith Abigail with another Momenta design team project. I fell in love with the 12x12 Let's Party Pyramid Paper Pad and immediately knew that I wanted to create a festive birthday card featuring these pretty papers.

This is a 4"x6" criss-cross shaped card base with a 3.5"x5.5" pull out card.

I used the American Alphabet Cricut cartridge to create this adorable cupcake and accented the card with a mini puffy sticker. Both of these are popped up on foam for extra dimension.

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "Happy Halloween" 12x12 Double Layout

Hi, everyone! The theme for this week's Stuck On U Sketches die cut challenge is trees. Anytime there's a challenge involving trees or clouds, I always end up creating a scene layout. They're just so much fun to put together. So, for this week's project, I created a Halloween themed scene layout.

This is a standard 12"x12" double layout featuring four 4"x4" photo mats.

All of the cuts on this layout come from the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge. I bought this cartridge last year during a Black Friday sale and I'm so happy that I can finally use it! I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot of this cartridge over the next few weeks.

How cute are these little tombstones?

I cut one of the frames from the cartridge and used a Recollections Journal It stamp to create a journaling spot.

All cuts have been inked and popped up on foam for added dimension.

Hi, guys! I'm back with my second Breast Cancer Awareness card; I've been crazy busy these last few weeks and forgot to post this one.

This project has been linked to My Sheri Crafts Think Pink Challenge, More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday #53 Challenge - Breast Cancer Awareness, Hiding in My Craftroom's Color Challenge #14 - Pink, Just Yolie's Link Up for Pink, Made by Momo's Stamptastic Tuesday,

I started out with a 5"x7" card and layered it with hot pink cardstock and two pieces of designer paper.

The girl was cut from the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge and the scalloped shaped was cut from the Once upon a Princess cartridge.

The tag was cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge and stamped with a sentiment from the K Andrews Positive Thoughts stamp set.

I finished off the inside with a piece of white cardstock and a small strip of designer paper. All edges were inked and most cuts were popped up on foam.

For my project, I used the Momenta Boxed Card Kit - NC - 1363, a beautiful set of elegant black and white cards that work perfectly for any occasion.

For the finishing touch, I removed the label from the box lid, added a piece of white cardstock, an accent strip cut from the Momenta Black Tie 12"x12" Super Paper Pad and a two Black Tie Puffy Flourish Stickers.

Finally, I added some Black and White Medium Polka Dot Puffy Alphas and a few pieces of bling from the collection.

This card kit was so much fun to put together and I'm so happy you're able to join us on our blog hop!

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "Haunted by Your Love" Card

Are you guys ready for another Stuck on U Sketches Die Cut Challenge? This week's challenge is hearts! Normally, I would have gone with a cutesy, lovey dovey theme for this challenge but lately the weather has been cold and rainy and has really put me in the mood for Fall...and more specifically, Halloween. So, I decided to create a gothic-style card. Obviously, you could use this for many different occasions but I'm going to write a little love note inside and give this to my husband on Halloween.

First, I began with a 5"x7" card and layered it with light pink and dark red cardstock. The red cardstock was embossed with the Cuttlebug Clockworks embossing folder to give it an industrial, Steampunk look. The heart and dagger were cut from the Lovestruck cartridge and hand-altered.

I used the Martha Stewart Doily Hearts border punch to create an accent piece and layered it with light pink cardstock; the cardstock was embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder. The font was cut from the Happy Hauntings Cartridge.

All the cuts have been inked with dark red and black ink and the heart and dagger were popped up on foam for added dimension.

I am making several cards for this event and this is the first style that I created. This is a 5"x7" card.

The girl and the sentiment were both cut from the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge at 6.5" and 1.75" respectively and the scallop and circle were both cut from the Storybook cartridge at 2.75" and 2.25".

Momenta Design Team Project - "Cutie Pie" Toilet Paper Roll Mini Album

Today, for my Momenta Design Team project, I have created a super cute mini album! I am in love with the Momenta Sweet Shoppe sticker sets and as soon as I saw them, I knew I wanted to design a project to showcase these adorable stickers. So, I created this super sweet toilet paper roll mini album! All of the paper used in this album is from the Momenta 12x12 Birthday Wishes Super Paper Pad and the stickers are from the Momenta Sweet Shoppe Glitter Puffy Sticker Set and the Momenta Sweet Shoppe Dimensional Sticker Set.

I began by covering each toilet paper roll with plain cardstock and punching holes for binding. The front cover is decorated with several stickers and gemstones from the collection. I also added a small piece of ribbon to the binding wire for a little extra cuteness.

The album has five pages and each page holds a coordinating tag.

On the inside of the front cover, I created a small pocket and added two tags with journaling spots on both sides.

Each page features a 2"x3" photo mat.

I used the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge to create the tags and alternated the color and design of each throughout the mini album; each tag features two 2"x3" photo mats.

I created a second pocket on the back cover of the mini album and added two more tags.

And, finally... here is my very first YouTube video!

I absolutely love the way this mini album turned out and can't wait to make another one! It's small but it features eighteen photo mats and four journaling tags making it the perfect size for a brag book or a sweet gift for someone special.

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop Challenge - Corner Fold Bookmarks

Tonight, I'm joining Robyn's Pinkalicious Blog Hop and Challenge; the challenge is to make a school themed project that is not a card or scrapbook layout. I decided to create a cute set of corner fold bookmarks. These were really fun and simple to create and I love the way they turned out.

I started with a 6"x6" piece of designer paper, folded it down into a 3"x3" bookmark and adhered it to a 3.25"x3.25" piece of cardstock. The cardstock makes it a little sturdier and also adds some contrasting color.

The books and apple were cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut cartridge.

And here it is in action! So cute.

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "Summer Days" 12x12 Double Layout

It's time for another Stuck on U Sketches die cuts challenge! This week the theme is flowers. There are so many different and wonderful ways to incorporate flowers on a project and I'm very excited to see what everyone creates.

For my project I had two goals: the first was to create a bright summer-themed layout (probably the last one I'll make this season because I'm so excited to start working on my Fall projects) and the second was to create an entire layout without using designer paper (I cheated a bit on the photo mats but they don't really count).

This is a standard 12"x12" double layout featuring three 2.5"x3.5" photo mats, one 4"x4" photo mat and two 4"x6" photo mats.

The font is cut from the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge...

...the sun and clouds are cut from the Create a Critter cartridge,

...the grass and flowers are cut from the Straight from the Nest cartridge and the smaller tuffs of grass are cut from the Create a Critter cartridge.

Patches of Pink Design Team Project - Halloween Wreath

This week at the Patches of Pink Link-Up Party, we are focusing on Fall projects. I am so excited about Fall! It's my favorite season and I am so ready for this summer to be over; the heat has been crazy. For my project, I decided to create a fun Halloween wreath.

I begin with a basic wreath, wrapped it in orange glitter ribbon and added some paper rosettes and a few Cricut cuts. Super fun and easy.

All of the cuts on this wreath came from the Celebrate with a Flourish Cricut cartridge. I just love those little pumpkins...

I added large rosettes (made from 1.5"x12" strips of paper), medium rosettes (1.25"x10") and small rosettes (1"x8"); all rosettes were edged with black ink and embellished with clear gemstones.

This is definitely one of those projects that looks so much better in person. The shiny, foiled glitter on the ribbon and the chunky black glitter on the glitter paper really pop.

Momenta Design Team Tutorial - Great Outdoors Tri-Fold Accordion Mini Album

Hi, everyone! I'm back with another Momenta Design Team Tutorial. Today, I'm going to show you how to create a tri-fold accordion mini album. This small 4.5"x4.5" album can hold between ten and sixteen photos which makes it the perfect size for a brag book. This album also makes a great gift for someone special.

First, you'll need three pieces of 8"x8" cardstock.

Score the cardstock down the center at four inches, turn it once and score it down the center again at four inches.

Turn it length wise and score down the center from one corner to the other.

Fold and crease all of your score marks. You should end up with this cute little shape.

Score and fold all three pieces of cardstock. Apply a generous amount of adhesive to one of the square portions of your cardstock...

...and adhere it to the second piece of cardstock.

Adhere the third piece of cardstock to complete the base of your album.

Using the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge, I cut ten scalloped squares at 3.75" and matted each square with designer paper. I chose a camping/outdoors theme for this album and used several pieces of designer paper from the Momenta Special Occassions and Celebrations Value Paper Pad.

Apply these photo mats to the cardstock to complete the inside of the album.

The entire album will fold up into the same cute little shape.

Now, it's time to create the cover. You'll need two 4.5"x4.5" pieces of medium-weight chipboard, four pieces of cardstock and two pieces of designer paper.

Adhere several pieces of twine to the chipboard cover in order to create a closure for your mini album.

...adhere cardstock to both sides of the cover and decorate with designer paper.

Adhere the chipboard covers to each of the outside squares of the album.

Fold the album down and secure it with the twine. I embellished this album with two stickers from the Great Outdoors Layered Puffy Stickers Set.

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "Journey" 12x12 Single Layout

It's time for another die cut challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches! This week's challenge is "Sky;" your layout should include at least one die cut of something that you would see in the sky.

This is a standard 12"x12" single layout featuring one 4"x6" photo mat. I absolutely adore hot air balloons so as soon as I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to include one on my project. The balloon is cut from the Summer in Paris Cricut cartridge and the large mat frame is cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge.

The clouds were cut from the Serenade cartridge and embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder...

...the journey title was cut from the Heritage cartridge and the tag was cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge.

Lately, I've been trying to include more sentiments and stamping on my scrapbook pages and this Inkadinkado stamp worked perfectly.

I'm here with another Momenta Design Team project! Today, I've designed a cute and simple birthday card/invitation.

I began with a pre-made card from Card Pack NC-1279 and layered it with some designer paper from the Birthday Wishes 12x12 Super Paper Pad. Next I added a chipboard gift sticker from the Party Chipboard Sticker set and finished the card off with a sentiment from the Mini Puffy Word Sticker Set.

Momenta Design Team Project - "Elegant Family" 12x12 Single Layout

Hi, everyone! I'm here with another Momenta Design Team project! I love the contrast of black and white together so when I saw the Momenta Black Tie 12x12 Super Paper Pad, I knew I wanted to create an elegant layout using only these colors. There are so many different patterns and designs in this stack! The possibilities are endless. I layered my background paper onto cardstock, hand cut a border strip and used the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge to cut a doily shape.

I adhered a Puffy Title Sticker to a coordinating strip of paper, adhered this to cardstock and popped the whole thing up on foam for more dimension.

Finally, I embellished the page with these gorgeous Puffy Flourish Stickers. It's hard to see in the photo but they're covered in a beautiful, finely-milled black glitter. So pretty!

Stuck on U Sketches Design Team Post - "T is for Tea Party" 12x12 Double Layout

Today is my first Design Team Post for Stuck on U Sketches! I'm very excited to be joining this design team! Our challenge theme this week is "Play;" I decided to create a sweet layout featuring a tea party theme.

This is a standard 12"x12" double layout featuring two 4"x6" photo mats and two 4"x4" photo mats.

The monogram and title are cut from the Kate's ABCs cartridge...

...as well as the teapot, tea cup and hat.

The children's silhouettes are cut from the "A Child's Year" cartridge.

I also added a few punched butterfly embellishments.

All cuts have been inked and popped up on foam.

Patches of Pink Design Team Project - "Inspire" 12x12 Double Layout

Time for another Patches of Pink Link-Up Party! August is Happiness Awareness Month and everyone on the Patches of Pink Design Team has created projects which express what makes us happy. One thing that always makes me happy is being creative! I haven't learned how to sew, yet (other than a few small pillows I made when I was little), but one of these days I would love to learn.

For this project, I wanted to create an elegant sewing room scene. All of the papers on this layout come from the K&Company Life's Journey collection; most of the papers in this collection look like fabric so they work perfectly. This is a standard 12"x12" double layout featuring one 4"x6" photo mat and three 4"x4" photo mats.

The title is cut Home Accents Cricut cartridge...

the dress form is cut from the French Manor cartridge, the tag is cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge and the spool of thread is cut from the Country Life cartridge.

The desk and chair are cut from the Sentimentals cartridge, the sewing machine is cut from the Heritage cartridge and the chandelier is cut from the Home Decor cartridge.

I wrapped the photo mats in twine and accented them with buttons. I love this paper; it reminds me of old sewing patterns.

Everything has been heavily inked and all cuts have been popped up on foam for added dimension.

The tag is hand stamped and attached to the dress form with twine and a small button...

...and I used small pearls for the drawer pulls.

Whimsical Wednesday Design Team Post - "2011-2012 School Calendar"

Time for another Whimsical Wednesday's Challenge! This week is Challenge #18 - Back to School. I chose this week's theme and we've decided to do something a little different. Instead of creating cards and scrapbook layouts this week, we're creating back to school projects in honor of all the teachers, students and office staff heading back to the classroom over the next few weeks. For my project, I created a 2011-2012 School Calendar! This is a 8.5"x11" calendar book that I created. I recently purchased a binding machine and I have been obsessed with creating books.

The sun, clouds and schoolhouse are cut from the Cricut Pop-Up Neighborhood cartridge...

...the bus is cut from the My Community cartridge...

...and the font is cut from the Kate's ABCs cartridge using the shadow feature.

The inside covers of the book are lined with an awesome chalkboard print paper from Momenta's All Through the Year paper stack.

The calendar pages were printed from templates I found online.

Finally, the back cover features the same polka-dot printed paper from the front cover.

This layout was created for my niece; I wanted to create a fun and simple layout to display all the funny expressions and photographic bloopers we've caught on film. This is a standard 12"x12" double layout featuring eight 2.5"x3.5" photo mats, one 4"x4" photo mat and one 4"x6" photo mat.

The film strips were cut from the Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge. I cut the background photo mats by hand, adhered them to the layout and popped the film strip up on foam. This will make it much easier to slip in a photo at a later date.

I used the Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch to create an accent border. The camera was cut from the Pack Your Bags cartridge...

...the font is from the Robotz cartridge...

...and the tag was cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge.

I combined two different stamp sets in order to create this journaling tag.
