I've gotten a lot of requests for Disney-themed projects...particularly Disney-themed scrapbook layouts...so I've decided to start a series of scrapbook layout featuring Mickey Mouse and his many friends. I always like to begin themed albums with a cover/title page so that's what I chose to begin this series with.
This is a standard size 12x12 single page layout featuring one 4"x4" photo mat.
Almost all of the cuts are from the Cricut Mickey and Friends cartridge. The Mickey ears were cut at 8.5" and the Disney logo was cut at 1.25".
The year was cut from the Robotz cartridge at 1"...
...and the Mickey and Minnie characters were cut from the Mickey and Friends cartridge at 5.5".
I added doodle-stitching to many of the cuts for added detail and popped the characters up on foam for extra dimension.

October 5, 2012 at 12:16 AMSuper cute page. I am so going to follow this series with you. How many pages do you plan on making? I would love to follow along. Giving us the sizes of each element you cut makes it so much easier to follow. Thanks for that. I am looking forward to make this starting today. TFS. ana

October 8, 2012 at 4:20 PMI giggled when I saw the doodled stitching. I've been doing that on all my layouts recently. I never used to. I just started doing it one day and haven't managed to stop.
Will you be doing any Pooh and Friends layouts? I love that cart.
