"Cheers" Wedding Cake Gift Card

This project was created for the Die Cuttin' Divas' Challenge #19 - Wedding Bliss and My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday Challenge.

This is a standard 5"x7" card that has been layered with cardstock and designer paper. I punched a co-ordinating piece of cardstock with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border punch to created a border and layered a smaller piece of black cardstock on top to make it pop a little more.  

The wedding cake is cut from the Summer in Paris Cricut cartridge and embellished with pearls. 

The sentiment frame is cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge and embellished with pearls. I thought the stamp co-ordinated with this paper really well!

I cut a small pocket envelope from the Sweethearts cartridge to use as a gift pocket. 

The corner flourishes are cut from the same cartridge and stamped for added interest. 

For the envelope, I cut a large frame from the Elegant Edges cartridge, the large monogram from the Tie the Knot cartridge and the smaller initials from the Elegant Cakes cartridge. The corners were stamped with a small flourish stamp. 

I also stamped the back of the envelope. No detail is too small!

Momenta Design Team Project - "Father's Day Barbeque" 12x12 Double Layout

Happy Father's Day, everyone! Today, the Momenta Design Team is featuring various Father's Day projects. As soon as I saw the Summertime 12x12 Simply Perfect Page Kit, I thought of my dad because he absolutely loves to cook...and he especially loves to barbeque. 

This is a standard 12"x12" double layout featuring three 4"x6" photo mats. The large frame is cut from the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge at 10.5". 

I used the alpha stickers included in the paper kit for the title; I cut some red cardstock circles, mounted the stickers to the cardstock and popped them up on foam. 

I mounted the stickers on cardstock and popped them up on foam for extra dimension.

"Papa's Garden" Father's Day Card

This project was created for Bitten by the Bug 2's Gnome Challenge, Whimsical Wednesday's Challenge #10 - Happy Father's Day, Cricut Cardz Challenge's Challenge #79, Cooking with Cricut's Challenge #38 Getting Cricky with K Andrew's Simple Sundays Challenge and Patches of Pink's Thursday Link-Up Party.

I made this card for my dad for Father's Day; all of his grandbabies call him Papa so as soon as I saw this title on the Freshly Picked cartridge, I knew what I wanted to create. This a a 5"x7" step/ladder card; I couldn't find a tutorial that I liked so I guessed at the measurements and they seemed to work out just right. 

The shape behind the gnome is cut from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge and everything else is cut from the Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge. 

I used lots of inking and foam in order to give this card plenty of dimension. 

I finished off the inside of the card with a small piece of cardstock so I could write a small note.

Momenta Design Team Project - "Play Time" 12x12 Single Layout

Hi, everyone! I'm so excited because this is the first project that I have created as a Momenta Design Team Member! I used the Play Time 12x12 Simply Perfect Page Kit to create this adorable layout; it has so many cute elements and everything co-ordinates so perfectly. I had a lot of fun putting this project together. 

I made a traditional photo mat and added a photo frame on top; the frame is popped up on foam on three sides so that a photo can easily be slid underneath. 

I added some brads to this journaling spot and popped it up on foam, as well. 

All of the chipboard pieces have been popped on foam for extra dimension.

Disney Autograph Book

This project was created for the Cricut Circle Blog's Monthly Challenge: On the Road Again, Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog's Challenge #62: Remember This and Patches of Pink's Thursday Link-Up Party.

Many of you have been requesting Disney/Mickey Mouse themed projects over the last few weeks and it's perfect timing because...in two weeks, I will be visiting Disney World with my sister and her family! It will be my niece's first visit to Disney (and my second) so I'm really excited to photograph the whole experience.

This is a Disney autograph book that I created. Once we return from our trip, I plan to create a standard 12"x12" scrapbook detailing our trip. The idea behind this project was to create a mini book that could easily be disassembled after our trip so that I could include the autographs I collected in my standard 12"x12" layouts and keep everything in one scrapbook. 

The pages of the book are 4"x6" white cardstock photo mats layered onto colored cardstock mats and then layered onto black cardstock. Once I unbind the book, I can trim off the binding holes on the black cardstock and I will have a perfectly matted autograph that is ready to be adhered into my scrapbook. I prefer using 4"x6" photos in my layouts and I almost always double mat them; so I stuck to the same dimensions for the autograph mats in order to keep my layouts cohesive. 

The top and bottom covers were made from medium-weight chipboard, covered and decorated. I kept this book fairly simple as my whole goal is to de-construct it after my trip. 

I used the Mickey and Friends cartridge to create the Mickey Mouse head and Disney logo for the front cover and I used the font from the Robotz cartridge to spell out the title. This was my first time using that font and I have to say...it looks a lot cuter in person than it does in the handbook. I can definitely see myself using this font a lot more often. All the cuts are popped up on foam for extra dimension. 

The inside covers are matted and lined with designer paper. 

I used five different colors for the autograph mats.
