"Birds, Butterflies and Blossoms" 12x12 Double Layout

Edit: This project won the Flaunt It Fridays I Flaunted It Best Award!

This layout is a little different than my normal style but I really love the way it turned out. So perfect for Spring and Summer photos.

This is a 12"x12" double layout featuring three 4"x6" photo mats and one 4"x4" photo mat.

The center die cut and frame were cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge at 10.5".

The large birdhouse was cut from the Cindy Loo cartridge at 6.5" and embellished with doodle stitching and pearls.

The top branch was cut from the Home Accents cartridge at 4" and the small birdhouse was cut from the Serenade cartridge at 2.5"...

...the bottom branch was also cut from the Home Accents cartridge at 2.5".

The journaling spot was cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge at 2.5" and stamped with two Fiskars stamps.

The birds were cut from the Cindy Loo cartridge at 3.5".

The blue butterflies were cut from the Home Accents cartridge at 3.5". I adhered the middle part of the butterfly to the shadow feature and then folded the wings upwards for more dimension.

The red butterflies were cut from the Home Accents cartridge at 2.25".

All of the flowers were cut from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge and embellished with gemstones.

"Florals Embellished" Birthday Card

This is a birthday card I created for my best friend. The Florals Embellished cartridge goes really well with the K&Company Sweet Nectar designer paper...and seeing that I recently picked up two more of the Sweet Nectar paper packs (on clearance for $3.50!), I have a feeling I will be making a lot more cards and layouts with this pairing.

This is a pre-cut 5"x7" card. The bird is cut from the Florals Embellished cartridge at 4.5".

Both frames are cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge; the larger one is cut at 3.5" and the smaller frame is cut at 1" and stamped with a birthday stamp.

Products used:
Cricut cartridges: Florals Embellished and Lacy Labels
Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch

"Astronaut" Birthday Card

This card was created for nephew's tenth birthday! I'm also linking up with Birthday Sundaes Challenge #5 - Anything Goes

The base card and envelope are cut from the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge at 6.25" and 6" respectively.

I hand cut two layers; one for the front of the card and one to use as a liner on the inside of the card. The top layer is embossed with the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls embossing folder. I hand cut a second piece of gray cardstock, punched it with the Fiskars Threading Water border punch and embossed with the Cuttlebug Tiny Mosaic embossing folder.

The astronaut is cut from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge at 4". The face is stamped with a Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face stamp.

The flag is cut from the Create a Critter cartridge at 3".

Finally, I cut a few planets from the Everyday Paper Doll cartridge to finish the inside of card and edge the entire project with faux stitching.
