Welcome to the Whimsical Wednesday Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Melanie's blog. If you just happened to drop by to say hi please go to the Whimsical Wednesday Blog to start at the beginning of the hop. For this hop we all made banners/wall decor that will be sent to a nursing home. The link to read more about this is posted at the Whimsical Wednesday Blog.
I started with a piece of 8.5"x11" medium-weight chipboard, covered it with designer paper and created this "Welcome" door hanger.
The large mat is cut from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge, the tree is cut from Straight from the Nest, both pieces of grass are cut from Everyday Paper Dolls, the fence is cut from Heritage, the welcome title is cut from Cindy Loo, and the clouds and birds are cut from Serenade.
All of the cuts have been inked and because this is a door hanging (and doesn't have to fit in a scrapbook or an envelope), I used foam to create several different layers of dimension.
I used my Crop-o-Dile to punch two holes, added brads to reinforce them, threaded some twine through to create a hanger and finished it off with some decorative buttons.
