Design Team Birthday Blog Hop - "Hello Kitty Birthday" 12x12 Double Layout

Thanks for visiting my blog today! Today's post is the project that I've provided to my design team for the Design Team Birthday Blog Hop 7/30-7-31. I'm sure you're all familiar with a standard blog hop - a long list of blogs, and you hop from one to the other leaving comments.Well, this one has a twist. This should be a super efficient hop for you, the hopper. We're linking up design team blogs instead of the individual blogger's blogs...So, you only have to make eleven hops and you'll get to see fifty-seven cards! If you're interested, go directly to the start at Vintage Heart Felt Designs. There is some great blog candy to be had! I hope you'll hop along with us!

For my project, I created a standard 12"x12" double layout featuring two 4"x6" photo mats and three 2.5"x3.5" photo mats. The large scalloped circle was cut from the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge and all other cuts were cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge.

I used the Fiskars Threading Water border punch to create a scalloped edge around my accent border.

All of the cuts were inked and popped up on foam for added dimension...

...and, of course, Hello Kitty was embellished with a sparkly gemstone.

The star of the show!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and I hope you'll check some of my other projects while you're here. Have fun hopping!

Products used:
Cricut cartridges: Hello Kitty Greetings and Lacy Labels
Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch
Paper: DCWV Baby Girl and Recolletions cardstock
