This is a 12"x12" single layout featuring one 4"x6" photo mat. I knew I would be doing a lot of challenges for National Scrapbook
Day Weekend Week and I really wanted to push myself to experiment with different scrapbooking styles. For this project, I focused more on shapes and co-ordinating papers than on die cuts.
The gorgeous watercolor birds were the inspiration for this layout. I wanted everything to co-ordinate around them so they would stand out. I added two pearls for their eyes but you can barely them in this picture.
The circle frame is cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge at 10.25", the title is cut from the Home Decor cartridge at 1.25" on the shadow feature...
...and the flowers are cut from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge. The butterflies were created using the Martha Stewart Monach Butterfly Punch. All pieces were inked and finished off with pearls.
