"Shhh" Embossed Valentines Day Card

This card was created for the 365 Cards Day 349 - Shhhhhh Challenge. The challenge was to create a "quiet" card and to "keep the theme subtle and the colors muted." I was really excited when I saw this challenge because this is definitely a departure in style for me. I knew right away that I wanted embossing to be the main feature of this card and I love the way it turned out. Sometimes simple can still be dramatic.

P.S. I think this may be the first paper crafting project I've ever made that hasn't featured a single Cricut cut.

I embossed a piece of white cardstock with an embossing folder from the Cuttlebug Love is in the Air set, layered it onto a piece of blush pink cardstock and placed that layer onto a custom-cut card.

I created an inner layer for the card out of the same blush pink cardstock and the Martha Stewart Lace Heart border punch.

To create a sentiment for the inside of the card, I embossed a small piece of cardstock with a embossing folder from the Sizzix Love Set and layered it onto matching pieces of cardstock.

Products Used:
Embossing Folders: Cuttlebug - Love is in the Air and Sizzix - Love Set
Martha Stewart Edge Punch - Lace Heart
Paper: Recollections Cardstock
