This week at Stuck on U Sketches our theme is Love! I recently purchased the Cricut Carousel cartridge and have fallen in love with the font feature. It's very versatile but to me it has a definite vintage, whimsical, summery vibe to it and I really wanted to highlight that. All of the designer paper used on this card came from the Imagine More cartridge; the distressed, handmade feel of these designs worked perfectly for this project.
This is a standard 5"x5" card. Each of the letters were cut from the Cricut Carousel cartridge at 2.3"; the scalloped heart and the regular heart were both cut from the Imagine Stock images at 2.3" and 1.8" respectively.
Each of the cuts were inked and popped up on foam for added dimension.
Finally, I added a button and a small twine bow.
Products used:
Cricut cartridges: Carousel and Imagine More
Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch
The Twinery Honeydew Twine
Paper: Recollections cardstock

For this hop we were asked to choose one project that Michelle from Scrappin for Kenzie has made from her gallery or facebook and make our own project using hers as inspiration.
For my project I have chosen to scraplift this project from her:
Here is my inspired project:
When I was looking through Michelle's gallery, I was immediately drawn to card shown above. I thought the little bride and groom themed hearts were adorable and I wanted to try my hand at them.
This is a standard 5.5"x4.25" card; I used the Fiskars Elegance 4-in-1 Embossing Corner Punch on the top corners of my layers and I used the Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Punch to create an accent piece on the bottom.
The hearts were cut from my Imagine stock images at 2.3". The bride's heart was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and edged with pearls. The groom's heart was accented with a bow tie, embossed with the Cuttlebug Candy Cane Stripe embossing folder and accented with pearls. Finally, I added some white satin ribbon and a simple bow to the bottom of the card.
Both hearts are popped up on foam for added dimension.
Products used:
Cricut cartridge: Imagine stock images
Fiskars Elegance 4-in-1 Embossing Corner Punch
Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Border Punch
Paper: Recollections cardstock

This week at Fantabulous Cricut our theme is Fancy Trims! For my project, I created a cake-shaped treat box. This box is cut from the Cricut Sweet Tooth Treat Boxes cartridge at 10.5". All of the paper are from the Cricut Imagine Bubblegum Stripes cartridge.
You could fill this box with anything, of course, but I love that there is an option to cut a cupcake holder for the interior. What a cute gift or party favor this would make!
I lined the top edge of my treat box with ribbon and added a matching tag and bow on top of the box.
The tag is also cut from the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge at 2.5" and the sentiment is from K Andrew's Coffee and Tea Tag Along Sentiments Stamp Set.
The flowers were cut from the Paisley cartridge at 1.5", 1.75" and 2" respectively and embellished with buttons.
Finally, I added a second, matching bow on the back of the box as well.
Products used:
Cricut cartridges: Sweet Treat Boxes, Paisley and Bubblegum Stripes
K Andrew's Coffee and Tea Tag Along Sentiments Stamp Set
Studio G Buttons
Paper: Colorbok White Textured Cardstock

Edit: This project was featured at Paper Playtime on February 19, 2012; Die Cuttin Divas on February 21, 2012; The Kraft Journal on February 22, 2012; and My Craft Spot on February 22, 2012.
This week at Patches of Pink, our theme is Valentine's Day! I created this cute treat box for my husband's Valentine's Day gift and I had so much fun making it.
This treat box was cut from the Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge at 10.5".
I used two pieces of acetate that I saved from a Cricut cartridge casing to line the windows and they worked perfectly.
The tag is also cut from the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge at 2" and stamped with K Andrew's Coffee and Tea Treats Tag Along Stamp Set.
I threaded some twine through a large, gingham button, tied a bow and adhered it to the door to create a wreath. I also added a crystal gemstone to create a doorknob.
The door, the window boxes and the flowers are all popped up on foam for added dimension.
Finally, I used the Martha Stewart Monach Butterfly Punch to create some butterflies and accented them with Stickles.
And here is the treat box filled with my husband's current favorite snack, Shredded Wheat. He loved it!
This project has also been entered into the Make Me Monday: Hearts and Flowers Challenge, The Paper Playtime - Hearts or Love Theme Challenge, The Kraft Journal's: Make It Monday Color Me Red Challenge, My Craft Spot's - Girly Girl Projects Challenge, Exploring Cricut's - It's So Sweet Challenge, Die Cuttin' Divas - Color Challenge, More Than Favors - Love Challenge, Simon Says - Tag It Challenge, and My Sheri Craft's - Love is in the Air Challenge.
Products used:
Cricut cartridge: Sweet Tooth Boxes
Martha Stewart Monach Butterfly Punch
K Andrew Coffee and Tea Treats Tag Along Stamp Set
The Twinery - Maraschino Twine
Studio G - Gingham Buttons
Paper: K&Company - Kelly Panacci
